Modified Starch Processing Building

Project Description:

Nord Engineers provided Structural Design & Detailing for this modified starch processing building with an integrated godown. The configuration is a 3-floor industrial steel structure with heavy process equipment and silos supported on deck, structurally integrated with an adjoining godown building. Foundation system: pile foundation with piles up to 12 m depth.

Challenge

Heavy vertical and dynamic loads from silos and process equipment required stringent deflection and vibration control on equipment-supported floors, along with seamless structural integration between the process building and the storage godown.

Solution

Nord Engineers delivered coordinated superstructure and pile foundation design (piles up to 12 m depth) with load continuity between the 3-floor process building and the integrated godown, including deflection and vibration control for equipment-supported floors.
