Nord Engineers served as the Structural Design & Detailing Consultant for this industrial shed project for a leading starch industry. The facility features a 5-storey pneumatic steel structure with an approximate height of 32 m, integrating starch godown for process and storage. The structure was designed for Indian Seismic Zone IV using approximately 350 MT of optimized structural steel.
Delivering a tall pneumatic steel structure that combined process and storage under one roof while meeting strict seismic and serviceability requirements required careful optimization of the structural system and steel tonnage.
Nord Engineers carried out full structural design and detailing for the 5-storey pneumatic steel frame, integrated godown layout, and foundation scheme, with member optimization to achieve approximately 350 MT of structural steel and compliance with Indian Seismic Zone IV.
